Last regular scheduled flight departs from Wick

Wick is the northernmost airport in mainland Scotland, and until 2020 it provided regular, scheduled services to Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Originally a grass airfield, it got its first concrete runway during the Second World War and, in peacetime, became a scheduled terminus and stopover point for civilian services.

    Adam Smith was born in Kirkcaldy in 1723 and is best remembered for his master work, The Wealth of Nations, which defined modern economics.
